Carmel Lacrosse Parents Association

The essential elements of character-building and ethics in sports are embodied in the concept of sportsmanship and six core principles: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and good citizenship. The highest potential of sports is achieved when competition reflects these six pillars of character. With this in mind, we agree to the following:

We are all members of our CHS Rams Lacrosse team. Players, coaches, and family make the Team complete. The main goals of our Team to pursue greater skills, play by rules, and introduce strategies in order to achieve maximum enjoyment of this great sport. Ethically, our responsibility is to encourage fair play with 100% effort, sportsmanship, and respect for others.

Coaches, reinforce good qualities and try to correct poor ones. Conflicts will arise with Referees, other coaches, parents and kids. They must be handled with self-control, dignity, and calmly. We have all seen the spirit of an entire game irresponsibly ruined by spectators berating a player, arguing with a referee, or a player and/or parent not conducting themselves with honor, respect, nor good citizenship. As family, we go to the games to support our kids. As club we attempt to do our best to help maximize the CHS Lacrosse Experience while evoking success with honor.
